The Day I Met Dave

BEARD

Check out this motley crew from freshman year.
Makes you think a LOT.
I had a nice little discussion with a friend today about how if you were to change anything from High School, what would it be?
I found that besides a few minor changes, there was nothing else I would’ve done different.
But we also discussed the common knowledge that after graduating high school, there are going to be certain people that we will NEVER see ever again. Sure, it’s rational that it will always happen, but I think it’s the extreme, absoluteness of the statement that really hits you and makes you think. Which is funny because there are people in this photo that I’m pretty sure I might never see again for the rest of my life. Such an absolution.
Remember when we were HS freshmen and everyone hung out in these HUGE groups? Then the groups would break and people would drift and finally settle down in their own reformatted groups?
This picture is a reminder of that process, and has come to show me what the consistent things in my life have been. It also makes me wish that I had taken more pictures with the friends that I’m still close with today.
